Jangtaesan Natural Recreation Forest features a dense forest of metasequoia, unique in Korea, offering an exotic landscape ideal for family forest bathing. This area harmonizes perfectly with its pristine natural scenery and provides well-maintained walking trails, a health pressure footpath, nostalgic playgrounds, a textbook botanical garden, an ecological pond, and a forest classroom, allowing visitors to enjoy both nature study and relaxation simultaneously. Additionally, there is a small (380㎡) sports area for group games, mini soccer, and basketball. The forest also includes a skyway, observatory, and slope play facilities, creating special spaces to experience the metasequoia forest. From the observatory on the Brother Rocks at the summit of Jangtaesan, visitors can view the sunset and admire unique rock formations such as Janggunbong and Haengsangbawi.

Yuseong Oncheon District is a large-scale hot spring tourism town located about 11 km west from the old city center of Daejeon, forming the core of Yuseong-gu. Among Korea's 116 hot spring districts, it boasts the oldest history and the largest scale in terms of reserves and usage nationwide. The hot spring water of Yuseong is generated from a granite fault fractured zone composed of 50 to 400 meters, and is a high-temperature hot spring discharged from depths below 200 meters underground, with temperatures ranging from approximately 27 to 56°C. The hot spring water contains about 60 different components, and is a mildly alkaline simple spring with a pH of 7.5 to 8.5. It is especially famous as a silica hot spring due to its silica (SiO2) content exceeding 40 mg/L.
