대경도 대합실은 여수와 대경도를 오가는 여객선을 이용할 수 있는 터미널이다. 여수에서 배로 5분이면 맞은편 대경도 선착장에 도착한다. 대경도는 섬 전체가 고래를 닮았다고 하여 고래 경(鯨) 자와 섬 도(島)를 사용했지만, 1910년 이후에는 주위 바다가 맑다는 뜻으로 경도(鏡島)라 부르게 되었다고 한다. 섬 전체가 완만하고 해안이 아름다워 경도 내에 조성된 골프장을 이용하려는 관광객들이 많이 찾는다. 대경도에 들어가는 배는 차량도 함께 탑승할 수 있으며, 도선요금은 배 위에서 계산한다.
Gukdonghang Waterfront Park, famous for its beautiful sunsets and fishing, is located between Bongsando in Yeosu-si, Yeosu Fishery Cooperatives Auction House, and a large supermarket. It is a scenic viewpoint where you can see Dolsan Bridge and Gyeongdo at a glance, and the sea creates a dazzling view at sunset. At Gukdonghang Waterfront Park, even fishing beginners can enjoy fishing lightly without much preparation, making it a popular urban fishing spot for both tourists and locals. It is a healing space within the city where you can enjoy the sea breeze, watch the sunset, and fish when tired of daily life. The park offers a lawn plaza, outdoor performance hall, shaded resting areas, benches, and granite stone chairs, all designed to maximize sea views, making it a great place to visit with family.
Among the various types of conger eel, chamjangeo is best known as hamo, the variety traditionally enjoyed as shabu-shabu. The term originates from Japan, where the eel earned its name for its tendency to bite aggressively. The conger eel is at its best from mid-April to late October, when it has fully built up nutrients in the clean waters of Korea’s southern coast. Due to its rich protein content, it is prepared in a wide variety of dishes, including shabu-shabu, salt-grilled eel, soybean paste–grilled eel, cold raw fish soup (mulhoe), and spicy gochujang-marinated grilled eel. Whole grilled hamo with soybean paste is considered a true delicacy among delicacies.
Yeosu is a port city where eels are abundantly caught and eel dishes are especially popular. In summer, gaetjangeo dishes, particularly those made with hamo, are sold at around 50 restaurants. Although hamo is also available in other parts of Jeollanam-do, such as Goheung and Wando, Yeosu’s Hamo Street is the most famous. Hamo Street is a seaside alley lined with specialty restaurants serving hamo shabu-shabu and fresh sashimi. The Namsan Park nearby offers a pleasant place for a light walk after a meal.

Gatjangeo (hamo) from the clean waters of the southern coast from mid-April to late October accumulates sufficient nutrients and tastes best during this period. Due to its rich protein, it is prepared in various dishes such as shabu-shabu, salt-grilled, doenjang grilled, mulhoe, and gochujang seasoned grilled dishes. Yeosu Minam Cruise is a cruise ship that offers tours of Yeosu's major attractions from the sea. Built with Korean shipbuilding technology, it boasts a total of four decks and can accommodate up to 920 passengers. During the day, it operates the Seascape City Tour, allowing passengers to enjoy the scenic views of Yeosu's coastline. In the evening, it offers Night View Tour and Fireworks Tour.
Yeosu Minam Cruise is the largest coastal cruise ship built with domestic shipbuilding technology in Korea. It has a capacity of 920 passengers, a total length of 66m, width of 13m, and a gross tonnage of 1,321 tons. This four-story cruise ship features the Mermaid Hall on the 1st floor, a restaurant on the 2nd floor, a snack corner and VIP room on the 3rd floor, and an ocean observatory on the 4th floor. There are multiple programs including a daytime sea city tour to see Yeosu’s sea and scenery, a healing night view tour to relax while viewing Yeosu’s night sea, and a fireworks cruise to enjoy night sea and fireworks together. You can see major tourist spots of Yeosu from the ship. The Sunset Night View Tour departs every Saturday before sunset and lasts about 70-80 minutes, offering views of Yeosu's sea sunset and night scenery. Departure times vary monthly, so please check the reservation site for specific departure times, and arrive on-site at least 30 minutes before departure. The ship is equipped with the latest safety and emergency medical equipment, and the crew have completed safety training in lifesaving and emergency response to provide a safer and more comfortable trip for passengers.
