Connected to the Yeosu Peninsula by the Dolsan Bridge, completed on December 15, 1984, Dolsando features famous scenic spots and historical sites such as Dolsan Park, Musulmok Battle Site, Jeollanam-do Fisheries Complex, Bangjukpo Beach, Hyangiram Hermitage, and Eunjokam. There is a coastal road circling the entire island. Recently, with the increase of convenience facilities like tourist restaurants and guesthouses, more travelers are visiting. Driving slowly around the island is a refreshing experience. The coastal road loop is about 60 km and takes 1 to 2 hours. Under the Dolsan Bridge, a life-sized model of the turtle ship that played a role in the Imjin War stands proudly, and nearby are numerous restaurants along the coast serving fresh raw fish. The view of Yeosu City from Dolsan Park (Daegyo Park) is also a must-see.
Dolsan Gat Jangteo Village (Daeyul Village) is located midway through Hyangilam, a famous spot for Bangjukpo Beach and sunrise viewing. The island floating in front of the village looks like a well-carved chestnut, so its administrative name is Yullim-ri. Daeyul Village, shaped like an open jar facing east, is a landform that receives morning sunlight over the sea all year round. Dolsan Gat, grown in the warm maritime climate of the southern coast and fertile alkaline soil, has a superb spicy taste. Visitors can directly harvest and experience making gat kimchi. Dolsan Gat is rich in minerals and vitamins, brightens the eyes, and has a warming effect on the body. The village has community experience centers and sales shops, always bustling with tourists wanting to purchase gat kimchi. At the kimchi experience center, visitors mix pre-prepared seasoning with the gat to complete and buy it; they can also purchase delicious soy sauce marinated crab. Visitors can enjoy Bija tree spring that flows as a water source in the village, the shaking rock on the back mountain, and the sunrise and sunset views of the southern coast. Nearby is the North Korean Semi-submarine Exhibition Hall, making it convenient for combined visits.

Impo Village is a coastal fishing village at the entrance of Hyangiram on Geumo Mountain, known as the best sunrise spot in the country and offering a panoramic view of the Dadohae Sea. The rock surfaces around Geumo Mountain resemble a hexagonal pattern like a tortoise shell, and the terrain where the village is located resembles a long-living tortoise, so it was formerly called Jangseongpo (長城浦). It is said that the village name was changed to Impo (荏浦) because the Japanese pirates feared a strong and long-living person would be born, like a tortoise. The character [Im (荏)] in the name comes from using sesame when catching tortoises. Impo Village, full of camellia trees, offers a special sunrise and a beautiful moonlit sea at night. Also, the village is rich in green moss-covered rocks and tree stumps, where wildflower scenery can be seen; the southern slope of Geumo Mountain and the area around Impo Samgeori trail are colonies of Boryeosan windflowers.
