Opened in 1961, this small market consists of commercial buildings and is a specialty market for memil jeonbyeong (buckwheat pancakes) and memil baechoojeon (buckwheat cabbage pancakes) shops. Memil jeonbyeong is a dish made by thinning buckwheat flour batter, wrapping it around fillings such as radish, cabbage, and meat, and frying it in oil. The filling varies by region; in Gangwon-do, it is said to include chopped, seasoned gat kimchi. There are tables and chairs available for eating on-site, and takeout and delivery orders are also available.
