Cafe Haeyeong was opened by remodeling a countryside house in Mangye-ri, Yeongdong, Chungbuk. It is a cozy hanok cafe with a comfortable rural house atmosphere reminiscent of a maternal grandmother’s home. Desserts and drinks using Yeongdong dried persimmons are the distinctive signature menu of Cafe Haeyeong. Each ingredient is made in-house; the soaked plum syrup is made using xylose sugar, and the plums are aged for 7 years. Also, homemade Yeongdong dried persimmons are used to create dried persimmon purée and jam, producing delicious dried persimmon desserts. Handmade Yeongdong dried persimmon jam and cheese persimmon jars available to taste in the store can also be purchased separately.
