Cheonghak Water Storage Reservoir Observatory is a viewing platform built on the Cheonghak Water Storage Reservoir space. The site’s elevated terrain allows visitors to reach the observatory with only a short climb, making it easily accessible to everyone. At the observatory stands the symbolic Jeolyeongma of Yeongdo, and the night view with the lights of Busan Harbor Bridge is popular as a photo spot for citizens. Various exercise equipment is installed, making it suitable for walking and jogging. Nearby are tourist attractions such as Jonaegi Sweet Potato History Park, the Nampalangil course walking trail, and Bongraesan Mountain, which can be visited together.
Haedosi Village, located at the foot of Bongraesan Mountain (396.2m), the highest peak in Yeongdo, is the place where you can see the sunrise first in the early morning. At the highest point of the village is the Haedosi Observatory Cheonghakmaru. Haedosi Village, on the way up to the observatory, is also famous as a mural village, and after exploring the murals, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Yeongdo from the observatory. As the best viewpoint in Yeongdo, visiting the Haedosi Observatory offers a wonderful experience to admire the beautiful views of Namhang Bridge and Busan Port. The Haedosi Observatory is a three-story building with the second floor housing the Cheonghakmaru Cafe and the third floor serving as the Haedosi Observatory Cheonghakmaru.
Labod Wooden Boat is a place where four young boat builders have created various wooden boats in miniature form. You can also find various small props such as a mini boat one-day class. The mini boat one-day class, which applies the shipbuilding method of the iconic Yeongdo tugboat and assembles a reduced kit, allows you to learn about boat construction techniques and principles. It is great for enjoying with friends or family, and currently can be experienced by reservation inside the café called 'Wind' operated by Labod Wooden Boat.
Cheonghak Waterfront Park is a small seaside park next to the Cheonghak Branch of the Busan Maritime Police. It is the first privately established waterfront park created through collaboration between local residents, Busan Port Authority, and Busan Regional Maritime Affairs and Port Office. The park is famous for its close views of the Busan Harbor Bridge and the inclined road leading to the bridge. It is well-equipped with landscaping and sports facilities, including a barefoot acupressure footboard for walking. Known as a beautiful nighttime photo spot of the Busan Harbor Bridge, it is emerging as a new popular tourist destination in Yeongdo.
