[The Geumgang Mountain of Yeongnam with Outstanding Valleys] Naeyeonsan is a mountain formed as the Nakdongjeongmaek ridge passes beside Juwangsan and extends toward the East Sea coast. Located on the boundary between Pohang City and Yeongdeok County in Gyeongsangbuk-do, Naeyeonsan's ridges include Munsusan (622m), Samjibong (Naeyeonsan summit, 710m), Hyangrobong (930m), and Ucheokbong (Cheollyeongsan, 755m). Although it is a gentle mountain range that may appear plain, the long valley stretching about 20 ri contains 12 waterfalls. The highlight of Naeyeonsan is the twelve waterfalls of Cheonghagol, which boast spectacular scenery harmonizing with the rocky cliffs. Starting from Sangsaeng Waterfall at the entrance of Cheonghagol (Naeyeongol) as the first waterfall, the valley's beauty is showcased through Bohyeon Waterfall, Sambok Waterfall, Jamryong Waterfall, Muryong Waterfall, and around the sixth waterfall, Gwaneum Waterfall, and the seventh, Yeonsan Waterfall.

An optional extension from the Bogyeongsa 12 Falls trail to a viewpoint overlooking Naeyeonsan’s valley and cliffs. Because official distance and duration values vary across public information, this is managed as a secondary route.
This extension is suitable for visitors who want a broader valley and cliff view beyond the basic waterfall trail. It may involve more uphill walking than the route to Yeonsan Falls, so first-time visitors should decide based on trail conditions and energy level.
