Goraebul Beach stretches for 20 ri (approximately 7.9 km) along six coastal villages in Byeonggok-myeon. According to legend, the beach was named 'Goraebul' by the Goryeo-era scholar Mok Eun Lee Saek, who saw whales playing while climbing Sangsangsan Mountain. It is one of the popular beaches nationwide. The golden sand is coarse and does not stick to the body, and it has been said from old times that bathing here benefits the heart and circulatory system. With an 8 km-long white sandy beach, it is called one of the famous 20 ri beaches of the East Sea along with Daejin Beach. The long sandy shore, shallow water, clean emerald sea, and dense pine forest providing cool shade make it suitable for family vacations. The beach features the Goraebul National Camping Ground, which includes caravans, camping sites, and a children's water play area, offering convenience facilities and making it a representative camping and beach site on the East Coast. Enjoying coastal scenery along the coastal road and heading north via Route 7 from Goraebul Beach creates a drive course where you can visit almost all famous tourist spots on the East Coast.

Yeongdeok Sunrise Park is a coastal natural park created along the 64km coastal road connecting Ganggu-myeon and Chuksan-myeon. After a fire in 1997 burned not only the coastline but also the nearby mountain area, the devastated land was restored, focusing on creating a natural park using eco-friendly materials with easy sea access. The park features a front view of the blue sea, a wide grassland behind, and a pine forest plantation, forming an open space. Around 1,500 wooden steps connect gazebos and weave the coastal road to the sea, forming a beautiful walking trail. There are two observation decks along the trail, offering excellent photography spots with panoramic views of the East Sea. Additionally, the park's landmark, the Changpomal Lighthouse, is harmoniously installed with the surrounding natural scenery. Due to its attraction of offering the clearest and most beautiful sunrise views, it draws visitors not only on New Year's Day but also on weekdays for sunrise viewing and leisurely rest.
