The Jeongok-ri Site is located around the Hantan River in Jeongok-ri, Jeongok-eup, Yeoncheon-gun, and is a representative site of the early Paleolithic period in Korea. This site, a symbol of Korea's Paleolithic heritage, gained attention in 1977 when a U.S. soldier visiting the Hantan River recreational area discovered stone tools on the surface. The Jeongok-ri stratigraphy provides very important data for studying paleoclimate and paleoenvironment and is a geological landmark with records related to human development. In the clay layer, a soil wedge structure called soil wedge cracking phenomenon is observed, presumed to have formed in the Ice Age, and is an important resource for paleoclimate research. Additionally, volcanic ash (Tephra) carried by the wind from Japan was found in the stratigraphy, revealing that the upper layers were deposited about 20,000 to 100,000 years ago. The Jeongok-ri Prehistoric Site is the prime site on the Korean peninsula for the study of Paleolithic relics, and was unearthed after the discovery of a stone implement by an American soldier who was visiting an amusement park near Hantangang River in the winter of 1978. It was identified as an Acheulean Paleolithic stone implement by an expert, and gained the attention of paleontologists from around the world. The Jeongok-ri Prehistoric Site is situated on a basalt deposit that was likely formed during the Precambrian era. With the discovery of soil wedge and tephra indicating the top layer to be estimated at least 20,000 years old, the region is also considered highly valuable among geologists.

Established in 2008, Hantan River Children's Traffic Land is a place where children can enjoyably learn essential safety education such as traffic safety, daily life safety, fire safety, and CPR through hands-on experiences. Education sessions are conducted only for groups with prior reservations, and individual visitors can tour the traffic safety education center when there are no group sessions scheduled.

This workshop produces a variety of items such as leather, metal, soap, and cosmetics. It has many handmade soaps, which capture the nature of Yeoncheon. Not only the shapes but also the natural ingredients of Yeoncheon specialties are used to create these soaps. These special soaps expressing the nature of Yeoncheon are also sold, and making handmade soap experiences are available by reservation. The Jaein Waterfall soap contains the waterfall water stream falling between cliffs, blue sky and water, columnar joints, basalt cliffs, and the green mountains in a small soap piece, making it popular as a souvenir for visitors to Yeoncheon. The Hantan River Pebble soap uses powdered special products of Yeoncheon like job's tears, sweet pumpkin, and mugwort, with added natural essential oils such as lemon and lavender, offering a variety of colors and scents. It resembles the basalt pebbles full under Jaein Waterfall and captures the nature of Yeoncheon. Visitors can see various soaps and crafts while touring the workshop.
