양구 돌산령지게놀이는 대암산을 중심으로 화전을 생업으로 하여 살아온 이 지역 사람들만의 고유한 민속놀이다. 산에 올라 일을 하는 도중이나 하산을 하는 중에 모여서 지게나 막대기를 이용하여 놀던 놀이를 모아 구성한 것이다. 지게탑 쌓기 및 고사반소리, 지게골엄놀이, 지게상여소리, 회다지소리, 지게싸움놀이의 다섯 마당으로 구성되어 있다. 양구돌산령지게놀이 전수관은 2001년 6월 29일 돌산령지게놀이의 보존과 전승을 도모하기 위해 설립되었고 이곳에서 해마다 양구돌산령지게놀이의 기능보유자이신 고순복 어르신의 지도하에 전수교육이 이루어지고 있다.
