Jujeon Bongsudo | Attraction Guide | K-Travel Mate

Jujeon Bongsudo (Namok Bongsu) is located at the summit of Bongdaesan in Jujeon-dong, receiving firesignal from Cheonnae (川內) and transmitting it to Yup'o (柳浦). After the 18th century, it also responded to Gyeongju Haseoji Bongsu to the east of Cheonnae Bongsu. The signal route distances were about 5.75 km to the north at Yup'o Bongsu, 6 km to the south at Cheonnae Bongsu, and about 16 km to Haseoji Bongsu. The current site of Bonghosa is said to have been the location of Bongdaesa (烽臺舍), an annex building of the beacon mound. Renovation was completed in 1981, giving it its present appearance.
