Hyundai Motor Ulsan Plant is the center of the Korean automobile industry and the world's largest single automobile factory, employing about 32,000 people and producing up to 1.52 million vehicles annually. It has a site 1.5 times the size of Yeouido, and through its exclusive export dock, up to 4,500 vehicles are exported worldwide daily. The factory tour consists of three courses. At the 'Heritage Hall,' visitors can see Hyundai's history and iconic vehicles, including the Pony and other old cars, with dioramas and videos showing the production process. At the 'Assembly Plant,' visitors can tour the actual parts assembly line and experience the core processes of automobile production up close. Lastly, at the 'Vehicle-only Dock,' visitors can observe the dynamic scene of finished vehicles being loaded onto export ships. Tours require advance reservations; groups must be 15 or more, and individuals can apply for up to 4 people.
Taehwagang Observation Deck is located in Mugeo-dong, Nam-gu, Ulsan. Originally built in 1963, the Taehwa intake station and intake tower, which had not been operational since 1995, were remodeled into the observation deck by Ulsan City and the Korea Water Resources Corporation to fit a modern aesthetic. The building is 4 floors above ground (28m high) with a total floor area of 514㎡. Inside, there is an outdoor observation deck, an information center, and a rest area. Yongyeon Seowon is dedicated to Hakpa Yi Ye, the progenitor of the Hakseong Yi clan. Yi Ye has been recognized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as one of the 'Figures Who Brightened Our Diplomacy' alongside Seo Hui of Goryeo. Inside the inner courtyard, the buildings include the main hall of Yongyeon Seowon and the study room 'Ongojae' of Yonghyeon Seowon, where relics of the Hakseong Yi Cheon-gi family tomb costumes (National Folklore Cultural Property No. 37) can be viewed. There is also a promotional hall for Yi Ye, the first Joseon dynasty communication envoy, titled Chung-suk-gong. Currently, it is managed by the Hakseong Yi Woljinmunhoe.
