Hoguk Uibyung Forest Waterside Park in Uiryeong is located where the Nakdong River and Nam River meet, the site of General Kwak Jae-woo's first victory leading the militia during the Imjin War. The park was created to build a beautiful waterside ecological space to pass down to future generations and to commemorate General Kwak Jae-woo's military spirit that led the victory. Along the wide and long paths, visitors can enjoy various flowers such as bassia, buckwheat flowers, pink muhly, and cosmos. The park also features a large parking lot, bike paths, walking trails, and an observation deck overlooking the Nakdong River, making it a great spot for family, couples, and friends to visit. Especially in autumn, the forest filled with cotton candy-like bassia flowers is famous as a photo-worthy location attracting many visitors.
