Chudong Neighborhood Park is a mountain-type neighborhood park covering about 220,000 pyeong, first designated as a park in 1954 and opened in 2019, spanning Singok-dong and Yonghyeon-dong. Located in the center of Uijeongbu-si, about 25% of Uijeongbu-si's population lives within a 2km radius of the park. Suited to its mountainous nature, it has been designated as a life environment conservation forest selected by the Korea Forest Service, a forest recreation forest, and biotope evaluation grade 1 and 2 areas designated by the Ministry of Environment. Additionally, it holds excellent ecological and environmental values with national land environmental evaluation grades 1 and 2 and ecological natural grade 2. Public facilities in the park include Uijeongbu Science Library, Uijeongbu Observatory, Chudong Water Playground, Songsan Tennis Court, and Singok Badminton Court. Rest areas such as the Forest Yard, Filial Yard, and Yeonpoji Arboretum are linked by forest perimeter walking trails.
