Known as a treasure of the Hallyeohaesang, Somaemuldo is a small island located southeast of Tongyeong Port. Although administratively under Tongyeong-si, it is actually closer to Geoje-si (Geoje Island) and designated as part of Hallyeohaesang National Park's Geoje district. The main island hosts Somaemuldo Port and pensions, and there is a lighthouse island connected by a sea path that appears twice daily due to tidal fissures. The spectacular scenery includes the dramatic rock formations and cliffs of Somaemuldo and the lighthouse island, and at low tide, a sea path opens between them. When the tide retreats twice a day, large and small pebbles are exposed, allowing visitors to walk barefoot to the beautiful lighthouse island. Somaemuldo's Yong Rock, Buddha Rock, Turtle Rock, Candle Rock, and Geulsseungi Cave are masterpieces of nature, and from the lighthouse island, the rocks extending toward Somaemuldo resemble a giant dinosaur sitting down, offering a unique view. Namme Rock, Dinosaur Rock, Byungpung Rock, Shark Cave, and Mangtaebong Peak are highly recommended sites to visit when on Somaemuldo.

[뚱보할매김밥] 통영할매김밥은 통영의 명물인 충무김밥으로 유명한 음식점으로 가장 유명한 곳이기도 하다. 충무김밥을 최초로 개발한 어두이(94 작고) 할머니께서 창업 70년간 단일 메뉴를 영위해온 원조 충무 김밥집이다. 김밥이 장사하기엔 너무 잘 쉬기 때문에 잘 쉬지 않게 만든 것이 충무김밥의 원조가 된 셈이다. 메뉴는 충무김밥 한 가지다. 김에만 밥과 오징어무침, 무김치가 유일한 반찬이다. 오징어무침은 충무김밥의 단조로운 맛을 감칠맛 나게 해 준다. [분소식당] 통영 여객선터미널 앞에 있으며 복요리를 전문으로 하는 곳이다. 여객선 터미널의 주차장을 이용해 주차걱정 없이 편하게 복요리를 맛보실 수 있다. 공중파 방송에도 자주 방송이 된 곳이라 공인된 맛을 볼 수 있다.

The Tongyeong Cable Car, installed on Mireuksan in Tongyeong, is a bi-cable automatic circulating gondola system built with the latest Swiss technology, with a length of 1,975m. It takes about 9 minutes to reach the upper station at an average speed of 4 meters per second. There are 48 gondolas circulating, including 47 passenger gondolas and 1 cargo gondola. Especially due to its eco-friendly design, only one middle pylon is installed, which protects the environment and provides a very comfortable ride for passengers. Additionally, 47 eight-passenger gondolas continuously transport passengers without delay, allowing close companions to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Hallyeohaesang National Park intimately. With the opening of the pet-friendly cable car, it is now possible to ride with pets.

'동피랑'이라는 이름은 '동쪽'과 '비랑'이라는 말이 합쳐져서 생겼다. '비랑'은 '비탈'의 통영 사투리인데 그 앞에 '동쪽'을 나타내는 말 중 '동'만 떼어 붙인 것으로 그래서 사람들은 '동피랑'이 라고 부르게 된 것이다. 푸른 통영21 추진협의회는 2007년 10월 전국적으로 동피랑길에 그림 그릴 사람들을 모았다. 그 사람들이 마을 담과 벽 길 등에 온통 그림을 그렸고 바닷가 언덕마을이 그림으로 다시 태어난 것이다. 동피랑 골목길은 그 갈래가 수십 개다. 그 모든 골목에 그림이 있고 하늘과 맞닿은 마을, 그 곳에 그려진 그림은 마을을 동화나라로 만들기에 충분하다. 또 마을에서 내려다보는 강구안 바다 풍경도 볼만 하다.
