Anmyeondo, located about 30km from Taean, is the 7th largest island in South Korea. It was connected to the mainland by a bridge linking Taean-gun and Anmyeondo, opened in 1970 (length 200m). Along the coastline of Anmyeondo, there are 14 beaches including Kkotji, Bangpo, Sambong, Baeksajang, and Baramarae Beach. Visitors can fully enjoy the symbolic pine trees of Anmyeon-eup, take in forest baths at Anmyeondo Natural Recreation Forest, and see the natural monument Mogamju tree colony.
