Architect Choi Yoon-sik purchased a house near Kyungsung University in Daeyeon-dong, Nam-gu, Busan in 2004 and transformed it into a restaurant with music. In 2007, he bought four adjacent houses entirely to create a complex cultural space that maintained the original form of the alley and buildings in the residential area. It opened in 2008 and won the Busan-style Architecture Award grand prize that year. The space includes the Yongcheon Jiral Small Theater with 80 seats, gallery Seokryuwon, the coffee shop Daban meaning friends sharing tea, karaoke room Poonggeum with an organ, drum, and guitar, Oriental bar Saekgye, Japanese-style pub Mongro, the cozy pub Gopbang selling makgeolli, and live café Nogada filled with 18,000 LPs and CDs covering the walls. On the third-floor rooftop, there is guesthouse Seonmudang, lent to actors performing there. In front of Seonmudang stands a large bell tower offering a panoramic view of the surrounding Munhwa Alley. It has three entrances including the northern alley, with five buildings organically connected across the alley as if one. The land area is about 1,000㎡. The brick buildings were remodeled with partial steel and wooden exterior while preserving existing landscaping and trees and reusing discarded construction materials, recognized as a model for urban regeneration. Munhwa Alley has become a landmark for young people in Busan.

Located in Namcheon-dong and originally known for its cherry blossom street, the neighborhood has gained a new nickname, “Ppangcheon-dong”, as local bakeries have begun attracting visitors specifically for their bread. The alley is lined with both long-standing local favorites and trendy, unique bakeries, making it a perfect place to savor the aroma while taking a leisurely stroll and trying different kinds of breads. Its proximity to Gwangalli Beach, one of the most popular attractions of Busan, makes it an ideal destination to visit together.

Bbangcheondong is an area where many trendy local bakeries mainly run by small business owners are located along the section from Namcheon Station Exit 3 to Namcheondong Cherry Blossom Street and Suyeong-ro 464beon-gil. It has become famous by the nickname Bbangcheondong. Recently, Suyeong-gu Office created a bakery tourism map of Bbangcheondong bakeries and listed it on the local government website. It is adjacent to Gwangalli Beach, a famous tourist destination in Busan, and hosts many popular bakeries suitable for visitors on bakery pilgrimages and travelers from other regions. Bbangcheondong has about 30 bakeries thriving, including long-standing local bakeries cherished by residents and trendy bakeries emphasizing taste and uniqueness. Visitors can enjoy the scent of freshly baked bread while walking the lush cherry blossom path in Namcheondong alleys and savor the delicious bread aroma alongside the lively atmosphere around Gwangalli.

Busan Gwangandaegyo Bridge (Busan 66, also called Gwangan-daero) stretches over 7.4 kilometers from Namcheon-dong in Suyeong-gu, Busan to Centum City in U-dong, Haeundae-gu. It is the longest bi-level bridge over the ocean in Korea. In addition to providing a quick way to get around, the bridge offers breathtaking views of nearby attractions, including the endlessly unfolding ocean, Oryukdo Island, Hwangnyeongsan Mountain, Gwangalli Beach, Dongbaekseom Island, and Dalmaji Hill. Equipped with thousands of LED lights, the bridge showcases a beautiful lighting exhibition at night that changes with the seasons. With a total length of 7.4km, Gwangandaero, designated as Metropolitan City Road No. 66, connects Namcheon-dong in Suyeong-gu, Busan, from Square 49 to near Centum City in U-dong, Haeundae-gu. It is the largest double-deck sea-crossing bridge in Korea. Gwangandaero functions not only as a bridge but also offers magnificent views from its upper level, including the endless sea, Busan’s symbol Oryukdo Island appearing within reach, Hwangnyeongsan Mountain surrounding Gwangandaero, the charming Gwangalli Beach, Dongbaek Island, and Dalmaji Hill in Haeundae—all visible at a glance. Additionally, it is equipped with an artistic, state-of-the-art lighting system that produces diverse and brilliant colors depending on the day and season. Thanks to this scenic lighting, it has become a famous Busan landmark. By harmonizing with nearby natural tourist resources, it offers grandeur during the day and romantic, restful night views, making it a beloved tourist attraction.

Samik Beach Waterfront Park, which offers a full view of Gwangalli Beach, is an excellent place for walking or cycling during the day and enjoying the dazzling nightscape at night. Especially, Gwangalli Beach, known as one of Busan's representative night view spots, features the stunning combination of the blue sea and Gwangandaegyo Bridge, Korea's first double-deck sea bridge and the largest suspension bridge. The scenic lighting system, which produces more than 100,000 different color patterns depending on the time, day, and season, adds to the brilliance of the night view. The view of Gwangandaegyo Bridge from Samik Beach Waterfront Park shows a different charm from the beach perspective. You can also enjoy the sunset glow closer.
