Sokcho Tourist Fisheries Market, a must-visit course in Sokcho travel, is filled with fresh seafood and specialties from the East Coast. It also offers a wide variety of foods including squid sundae, Abai sundae, and spicy fried chicken. The market is a large shopping complex with one basement floor and two above ground floors, combined with specialized alley markets, adding more attractions. On the first floor of the shopping building, you can find textiles, vegetables, and food, while the second floor houses clothing, daily necessities, miscellaneous shops, and a Nonghyup Hanaro Mart where various products can be purchased. The basement floor has a fish center where fresh live fish and seafood can be enjoyed at affordable prices. The alley markets are divided into five categories by item: fruit and vegetable alley, sundae alley, jeotgal fish market alley, and so on. Fresh agricultural products, fish, and dried seafood displayed on stalls make visitors linger. The popular Dakjeon alley among tourists features many shops selling crispy and spicy Dakgangjeong, each capturing customers' taste with different know-how. All alley markets have rain shelters, allowing comfortable visits even in rain, and the market maintains a clean and pleasant environment with ample parking space.

외옹치해안일대는 1970년 해안경계철책선이 설치되면서 일반인 출입이 전면 통제되었다가가 2018년 4월 개방되었다. 강릉 정동심곡 '바다부채길'에 이어 동해안에서 두번째로 만들어진 탐방로이며,바다를 따라 걷는 길이라 '바다향기로'라고 이름지어진 명품 해안 바닷길 '속초 바다향기로'는 출입통제 이후 65년만에 개방된 외옹치해안,속초해수욕장 일대를 따라 바다산책로로 조성되었으며 걷다보면 "동해안 최고의 명품 감성 트레킹로드"임을 알 수 있다. '속초 바다향기로'는 속초해수욕장에서 외옹항까지 이어지는 코스로, 속초지역에서는 유일하게 장승을 볼 수 있는 곳이다. 기암괴석에 닿아 부서지는 파도소리를 가까이서 감상 할 수 있고 바다향기로 근처로 관광지 및 상업지역이 조성되어 있어 신선한 회를 맛볼 수 있는 횟집도 즐비해있다. 해변스탠드와 경관보도교, 외옹치해수욕장 전망을 볼 수 있는 데크로드 등이 조성되어 있다.

Yeonggeumjeong is a place with large and wide rocks spread along the seaside under Sokcho Lighthouse in Dongmyeong-dong, Sokcho-si. The origin of the name comes from the mysterious melody heard when waves hit the rocks, said to resemble the sacred sound of a 'geomungo' (traditional Korean zither), hence it is called Yeonggeumjeong. Located close to the city center, it offers beautiful scenery and is a popular spot year-round for Sokcho citizens to enjoy summer retreats and fishing. Currently, Sokcho-si has developed the Yeonggeumjeong area into a tourist site, and a pavilion was built near the southern breakwater. This pavilion is a maritime pavilion built on the Yeonggeumjeong rocks and can be reached by crossing a bridge of about 50 meters. The feeling of looking out at the sea from the pavilion is refreshingly different from the breakwater, but the pavilion itself is made of concrete, which is somewhat disappointing. It is generally called the Sunrise Pavilion, and the pavilion's nameplate bears the inscription Yeonggeumjeong (靈琴亭).

Named for its resemblance to the Korean Peninsula, this terrain was formed by the erosive action of an incised meandering river flowing around the Hanbando terrain. Here, you can observe limestone found in this region, the meandering Seogang River, the formation process of the Hanbando terrain, dolines, and the uses of limestone.
