Located on Jeokpuri-ro in Sujeong-gu, Seongnam-si, Shingu University Botanical Garden opened in May 2003 with the purpose of developing and researching plant resources. It systematically collects, preserves, and exhibits domestic and international plants. Beyond plant research, it serves as a practical training site for related academic departments and offers gardening education as well as various educational programs that allow the general public to observe and directly experience nature. The garden café at the entrance overlooks the central plaza of the beautiful forest exhibition hall, creating a relaxing atmosphere harmonized with vibrant flowers. Recognized by the national government (Korea Forest Service), it cultivates botanical experts (gardeners) and contributes to the development of plant culture by providing environmental education for youth and the general public through job training related to plants and experiential opportunities.

Maengsan Firefly Nature School is located in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, and provides a space to experience nature. Through parent-child nature experiences, it awakens ecological sensitivity and allows for lifestyle and cultural community activities based on the importance of the local environment and the formation of healthy family communities. It consists of a wetland where various aquatic creatures can be observed in a shallow pond, a firefly conservation and restoration area created for healthy ecosystem recovery, a learning center offering environmental education using natural materials to gain knowledge about nature, and hiking trails.

Seongnam Yuldong Park is a natural lake park created by preserving nature as much as possible, featuring beautiful scenery of lawns, hills, and a lake. It is called Yuldong Park because there were many chestnut trees since the Baekje era. The park includes the Cheongju Han clan Munjeonggong branch burial site stele (Gyeonggi-do Cultural Heritage Material) and a March 1st Movement memorial tower, and it is famous for its bungee jumping site. It also offers a large open lawn square for citizens, a 1.8 km waterside walking trail around the lake to enjoy nature's beauty, a book theme park that encourages voluntary reading and blends curiosity and imagination as a family space, a children's playground, a dog park, and various rest areas and tourist attractions. ※ Bicycles are prohibited inside the park.

책테마파크는 국내 최초의 책을 테마로 만든 공간이다. 기존의 책 읽는 도서관의 개념에서 벗어나 상상력과 독서의욕을 고취시키는 창조적인 공간이며 공연, 전시, 체험활동을 즐길 수 있는 공간이다. 책을 테마로 한 바람의 책(조형물), 시간의 책 미로(산책로), 상징조형벽화(조형벽), 공간의 책 광장(책카페), 신 8언시 천자문책(벤치 조형물), 하늘의책 공원(야외공연장), 물의 책 만파식적(명상공원)이 있다.
