Ttarabi Oreum | Attraction | K-Travel Mate

Located in Gasiri, Pyoseon-myeon, Ttarabi Oreum consists of three craters (gumburi) and six peaks. The lava expelled during the volcanic eruption shaped gentle mountain contours, and in autumn, the silver grass covering the oreum creates a spectacular scene. Enchanted by this landscape, people began calling Ttarabi Oreum the 'Queen of Oreums.' The silver grass shows its brilliance from the base of the oreum. The wide plain is filled with white silver grass swaying in the wind, with cozy paths running between. Visitors often hide among the silver grass, peeking out to capture the perfect photo. It takes about 30 minutes to reach the summit, making it accessible to everyone. As you climb the stairway, briefly obscured views suddenly open up in awe at the peak. The craters and ridges form gentle curves, and beyond the countless silver grass tufts, Daeroksan (Geunsaseum-i Oreum) and a wind power plant stretch beneath the sunlight. The summit of Ttarabi Oreum resembles a sea of silver grass. The wind stirs gentle to wild silvery waves. Whether walking along the ridgeline or crossing beside the craters, everything moving on Ttarabi Oreum becomes a picture. As the sun nears the horizon, the sea ripens into golden hues. At Ttarabi Oreum, color and light harmonize moment by moment. Native Jeju silver grass blooms to its fullest from October to November and retains its vitality and atmosphere through winter.
