Yeongsuam is a subsidiary temple of Magoksa, the head temple of the 6th district of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism. The temple was originally located on the peak of Toemaesan about 500 years ago and was moved to its current location about 100 years ago. The temple complex includes Daewoongjeon, Seolphobjeon, Sansingak, and lodging quarters, and enshrines the Three Buddha Statues inside Daewoongjeon. Among these, the wooden Bodhisattva statue was designated as a cultural heritage material of Chungcheongnam-do on September 20, 2007. Centered around Daewoongjeon, the complex consists of Sansingak and lodging quarters. Daewoongjeon has an 'L'-shaped structure with four bays on the front, two bays on one side, and three on the other, and was previously a private house that was renovated for temple use. Sansingak, located behind Daewoongjeon, has a gabled roof structure with one bay on the front and one on the side, housing the paintings of Dokseong, Sanshin, and Chilseong.
