The National Institute of Ecology Ecoriaum exhibits about 1,600 representative flora and fauna from the world's five major climates: tropical, desert, Mediterranean, temperate, and polar, allowing a vivid experience of a living ecosystem. There are also two permanent theme exhibition halls for learning the basic concepts of ecosystems, a special exhibition hall for ecosystem-themed exhibitions, an Eco Lab with ecology education tailored by viewing height, a children's ecology reading room, and a 4D theater. The outdoor exhibition areas include the Geumguri Zone to observe wetland ecosystem features, Hadaram Zone reproducing Korea's forest vegetation by climate zone, Godaeryuk Zone recreating habitats of Korea's representative deer species, Najeojeo Zone for enjoying various wild egrets and ducks, the Eco Care Center for isolation to prevent highly pathogenic avian influenza and protection of internationally endangered species, and a CITES animal protection facility for safeguarding internationally endangered animals from smuggling and illegal trade.
Surawon is a Korean beef and bulgogi specialty restaurant located at the estuary where the Geum River meets the West Sea. It offers the advantage of dining with views of the sea, river, mudflats, and the distant Gunsan city across the river. This restaurant features a division of floors by menu. The first floor, with about 170 seats, focuses on grilled bulgogi, braised pork ribs, and braised beef ribs set meals. The second floor, with about 80 seats, specializes in Korean beef and other meats. Both floors have halls and private rooms, allowing convenient dining based on menu, preference, and group size. Nearby are the Geum River Estuary Bank and the Seocheon Bird Ecology Exhibition Hall, and the Dongbaek Bridge nearby connects to tourist destinations in Gunsan city for linked sightseeing.
Janghang Songnim Natural Recreation Forest features dense pine trees along 1.5 km of coastline, offering a serene place for a stroll throughout the year. Various flowers inhabit the walking path, notably the violet Liriope flowers that bloom in August and September, adding charm. The forest was originally planted as a windbreak against sea breezes in 1954 by students of Janghang Agricultural High School (currently Janghang Technical High School), who planted 2-year-old Korean red pines (Gomsong). Today, approximately 12,000 Gomsong (haesong) trees grow naturally. It was designated a National Forest Cultural Asset by the Korea Forest Service in 2019 and became a natural recreation forest in 2021.
Yujeong Restaurant is located in Changseon 1-ri, Janghang-eup, Seocheon-gun, Chungcheongnam-do. Its signature dish is marinated shrimp, which is available for takeout. Moreover, online ordering is also possible. Besides marinated shrimp, they also sell braised anglerfish, anglerfish soup, common sole, spicy crab salad, grilled conger eel, and west sea flatfish soup. There is a private group seating area inside, making it good for various gatherings. Although there is no dedicated parking lot, a public parking lot is just a few steps from the restaurant, so parking is convenient. It is close to the Dongseocheon IC, and nearby attractions include the Janghang Skywalk Observatory, Geumgang Hagutduk Tourist Site, Janghang Port, and the filming location of the movie (Christmas in August).
Seocheon Healing Forest is a healing space situated amid the abundant forest resources of Munsusan and Heirisan Mountains, designed to enhance the body's immunity and overall health.
