Unsusa Temple is located on Baekyangsan Mountain in Sasang-gu, Busan Gwangyeoksi, and is believed to have been built during the Gaya Kingdom period. It was originally called Sinsuam but was renamed Unsusa before the 18th century. The temple buildings were completely destroyed during the Japanese invasions of Korea and were rebuilt in 1660, with the current Daeungjeon Hall restored. Today, Unsusa centers around Daeungjeon Hall, flanked by Samseonggak and Yongwanggak on either side, and also includes Simgeomdang and Sejindang. The temple preserves cultural heritage including the Daeungjeon Hall designated as a treasure, the stone Buddha triad seated statue of Daeungjeon designated as a tangible cultural asset, and the Amitabha triad painting designated as a cultural material. The temple offers temple stay programs where visitors can explore Buddhist sacred sites and relics and experience tea processing, as well as operate a Buddhist university teaching the Buddha's teachings to lay followers and the general public.
