Yaksuam is a temple affiliated with the Daehan Buddhist Beophwa Sect, located at the foot of Baekyangsan in Sasang-gu, Busan. It is said to have been founded around 1890 by the monk Gyeongpa along with bodhisattvas Jocheongjeonghwa, Bakborihwa, and Seobonseongwol. From the 1950s, Monk Cheongmyeong resided here for 55 years, completing the temple's construction to its current form. Yaksuam consists of Daewoongjeon, Yaksa-jeon, Samseonggak, the bell pavilion, and the temple kitchen. Daewoongjeon is a structure with 3 bays in the front and 2 bays on the side, featuring a hip-and-gable roof in the Jusimpo style, built in the early 1950s. Samseonggak, built in the early 1950s around the same time as Daewoongjeon, is a hip-and-gable roof building with 3 bays front and 1 bay side, also in the Jusimpo style. It has no exterior murals but has one changbang window on the right outer wall. Yaksa-jeon, built in 1999 as an octagonal cement structure, features exterior dancheong and murals on 8 sides depicting landscapes, flowers, and birds.
