📍 Busan-gwangyeoksi Sasang-gu Nakdongdaero 1231
Samnak boasts the largest floodplain area, featuring diverse natural environments and waterfront spaces designed for sports and public relaxation. Formerly a vinyl greenhouse cultivation site, in 1998 Sasang District Office created a sports ground (446,280㎡) on the upper part of the Samnak floodplain. In 2006, Busan City’s Nakdonggang floodplain redevelopment included an eco-friendly farming area (793,388㎡) for winter migratory bird feeding, a water play area, inline skating rink, and restored wetlands (66,115㎡). In 2009, under the Four Rivers Restoration Project, the farming area was removed to restore migratory bird feeding grounds and wetlands, and a mooring was established for future watersports. Samnak Ecological Park is mainly composed of three parts: first, sports facilities for citizens in the top and central areas; second, a large natural grassland of reeds and salt willow clusters (including some spots for endangered Korean pond frogs) and walking trails in the upper part; third, reed wetland formation in the lower part attracting many seasonal migratory birds.
