Deogyangjeon is located in Hwaggye-ri, Geumseo-myeon, Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam. It was designated as Gyeongsangnam-do Cultural Heritage Material No. 50 on July 20, 1983. It is a shrine from the Joseon Dynasty and serves as the ancestral hall for Jeongu-hyeong Royal Tomb. It enshrines the spirit tablets of King Yang, the 10th king of Geumgwan Gaya, and his queen, and conducts the Chunchu and Sakmang memorial rites. In 532 (19th year of King Beopheung of Silla), King Yang passed Geumgwan Gaya to Silla and moved here to Wangsanjung Sweet Palace, where he died five years later. The rites continued but were interrupted by the Japanese invasions of 1592–1598. In 1798, a royal tomb was built under the Simneunghu tomb, and the rites resumed. In 1898, it was renamed Deogyangjeon when Seungseonjeon was granted royal status. In 1930, it was relocated to its current location and was reconstructed in 1991.
