Hwangmaesan Mirinae Park was the filming location for the movie featuring two people, and it features a small primitive village built in the mountains. After filming, which was co-invested by Gyeongsangnam-do Sancheong-gun and Gang Jae-gyu Film Co., 31 primitive tribal houses used in the film were restored, along with about 10 windmills, old ginkgo trees, a blacksmith shop, swords, bows, beacon mounds, murals, as well as the main characters’ costumes and over 1,000 props and movie-related materials. This created Korea’s first movie-themed park. Since then, the movie-themed park has been a popular filming site for movies like , , and dramas including , , and among others. Hwangmaesan, standing 1,103.5 meters above sea level, is named because its shape resembles plum blossoms in bloom. In May, the plateau blooms with tens of thousands of azaleas, making it known as the nation’s top azalea habitat.
