Ungseok Workshop is located below Ungseokbong, at the foot of Jirisan Mountain, producing traditional woodworking furniture, artistic furniture, and wooden craft daily necessities. Its facilities include a 60-pyeong (2-floor) exhibition hall, a workshop, an office, and an exhibition sales area. In 2001, with support from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Jirisan Cultural Product Development Research Institute was established in Jirisan Jungsan-ri with cooperation from five universities (Hongik University, Jeonbuk National University, Silla University, Jinju Industrial University, Yeonam Technical College) to host a craft academy. They have developed facilities including an exhibition hall and art museum focused on crafts and cultural products from the Jirisan region, conducting development, distribution, and lectures for the general public.
