Hwansun Cave is the largest limestone cave in Korea, first recorded in 1662 by scholar Heo Mok in the 『Cheokjuji』. Formed about 530 million years ago, this cave preserves the natural wonder shaped by long geological time. Inside, various stalactites, stalagmites, and columns shaped like a Beauty Statue, Mary Statue, Goblin's Club, and Jade Throne majestically develop, creating a mysterious atmosphere. These delicate and unique shapes, like sculptures made by nature, leave a deep impression on visitors. A total of 47 animal species have been discovered in Hwansun Cave, with four species, including Hwansunjangnimjom Ddakjeongbeolle, found only in Hwansun Cave or first recorded there, highlighting its ecological significance. Since April 2010, a monorail has operated to allow easier access to the cave entrance. Hwansun Cave, where nature, science, and ecology harmonize, is an attractive destination for those seeking a mysterious and special geological journey.

Samcheok Beach is located about 1.4 km from downtown Samcheok and is the largest beach in the area, featuring a spacious white sand shore 1.2 km long and 100 m wide. The beach is surrounded by dense pine forests, with clean sand and shallow waters suitable for swimming for people of all ages. Various auxiliary and convenience facilities are relatively well-equipped. Additionally, neighborhood facilities within the Tema Town are complete, and fresh raw fish sashimi is available. Each year, the beach attracts about 500,000 visitors as a major summer resort, hosting diverse events such as the "Barehand Flounder Catching Contest," drawing significant popularity among tourists.

작은 고깃배가 드나들 수 있고 구렁이가 용으로 승천한 장소라는 전설을 갖고 있는 초곡용굴은 해금강이라는 애칭을 가지고 있으며 그 부근 일대가 갖가지 아름다운 바위들이 즐비하게 자리 잡고 있다. 특히 초곡 용굴 촛대바위는 깨끗한 바다와 어우러져 멋진 경관을 뽐낸다. 데크길과, 출렁다리 등 초곡 용굴 촛대바위길 탐방로가 조성되어 해안절경을 가까이서 감상할 수 있다.

This cable car offers a panoramic view of the Yonghwa-Jangho beaches, famed for their beauty along the East Coast. Once aboard, you can enjoy a stunning scene where emerald-colored sea and unique rock formations blend harmoniously. The open view of the East Sea through the windows meets the horizon, making it hard to tell where the sky ends and the sea begins. The scenery varies with the weather: on clear days, it resembles a beautifully painted watercolor, while on rainy or cloudy days, it looks like an elegant ink wash painting created by nature. Both Yonghwa and Jangho have coastal walking trails, providing an opportunity to experience the sea seen from above up close.

Located 25 km south of Samcheok City Hall, Jangho Beach is a cozy crescent-shaped beach with a wide white sandy shore, a water depth around 1 km, and a 10-degree slope. The waves are gentle, and the natural terrain acts as a windbreak, making it ideal for fishing. Facilities such as parking lots, campgrounds, restrooms, showers, and guesthouses are relatively well equipped. Since 2004, it has been designated and operated as Jangho Fishing Village Experience, offering various activities. Nearby tourist attractions include Jukseoru Pavilion, Chodang Cave, Hwanseon Cave, Sinnam Marine Shrine, and Hwang Young-jo Memorial Hall. It is a summer getaway with clear sea water suitable for families. Jangho Port, located near Samcheok city, features a beautiful round and pure white coastline. Surrounded by white sandy beaches and striking rock formations, it forms a spectacular view. Being close to Jangho Beach, visitors can enjoy a magnificent sunrise over the curved sandy shore in the morning and swim during the day. The quaint white sandy beach visible at a glance provides a peaceful atmosphere distinct from large nearby beaches.

삼척중앙시장은 삼척을 가로지르는 오십천과 가까운 곳에 위치하고 있다. 시장 입구에 주차장이 있어 편리하게 이용할 수 있다. 내부로 들어서면 큰 규모의 시장이 형성되어 있다. 정기 시장이 서는 날에는 많은 사람들의 발길이 닿는다. 또한 삼척 중앙시장은 5일장과는 무관하게 본인이 직접 재배한 것을 팔 수 있는 직거래 장터가 따로 있다. 최근에는 청년몰이 2층에 조성되어 전통시장을 탈바꿈하고 있다. 중앙시장 건물을 리모델링하는 등 편리성과 쾌적함이 더해져 발길이 더해지고 있다.

Samcheok Rose Park, located in the Osipcheon area of Jangsang-dong, Samcheok-si, covers an area of 85,000㎡. It features 218 varieties, 130,000 rose bushes, and 10 million rose blooms, making it the largest single-rose species park in the world, creating a beautiful spectacle. At night, the clusters of roses illuminated with lighting create a fantastic atmosphere. The park includes various recreational and convenience facilities such as walking paths, photo zones, a rose tunnel, an event garden, ground fountains, a lawn plaza, a barefoot park, an inline skating rink, bicycle paths, and more, making it a space for culture, rest, and leisure.
