Gamcheon Culture Village began in the 1950s as a difficult settlement for Korean War refugees and has preserved the history of Busan to the present day. Its terraced communal housing orderly arranged along the hillside and the maze-like alleys where all paths connect show Gamcheon's uniqueness. Once a rundown slum, the village has become a representative tourist destination with 1.85 million domestic and international visitors annually, thanks to an urban regeneration project incorporating culture and arts. The terraced pastel-colored houses along the hillside and maze-like alleys have earned it the nicknames 'Korea's Machu Picchu' and 'Santorini.' In 2016, it won the President's Award, the highest prize in the Korea Spatial Culture Awards. Visitors can enjoy picturesque village views blended with nature, appreciate various art installations throughout the alleys, and participate in diverse craft experiences at studios run by resident artists, attracting continuous tourists.

Gamcheon Culture Villiage was formed by refugees of the Korean war who built their houses in staircase-fashion on the foothills of a coastal mountain. The many alleys that cut through this community are vibrantly decorated with murals and sculptures created by the residents. Today, it is a popular attraction in Busan visited by a number of tourists every year.

Busan, which has long supported the meals of dock workers, is a place where nutritionally rich pork dishes have developed more diversely than in other cities. Starting with pork soup, which can only be truly enjoyed in Busan, various pork dishes such as pork ribs, spicy pork stir-fry, and pork bone soup line the area. Among them, the dish that has captivated the taste buds of Busan citizens for over 40 years is jokbal (pig's feet). In Bupyeong-dong, you can find jokbal alley lined with countless signs of pork feet restaurants. The jokbal alley operates from Gukje Market Intersection to Bupyeong Intersection, originally starting in the 1980s from a single small jokbal restaurant, which has since formed into a collective group of eateries. The jokbal is slowly cooked over a subtle fire all day long, and each restaurant offers jokbal flavored with their unique secret recipes.

Ami-dong Biseok Cultural Village is a neighborhood that directly shows the history of Busan. When the Japanese resident corps entered during the late Joseon period, crematories and communal cemeteries were established in this previously slum area, and after liberation, during the Korean War, evacuation, and the demolition policy of shanties in Busan city, people pushed into the mountains dreamed of hope for life and built this village. In the alleys of Biseok Village, you can see traces of this history, where angular tombstones or grave slabs were used as stepping stones on steep stairs, retaining walls, or house foundation stones. It is a place that fully contains the entire process of transformation from a place with painful history and culture to the present beautiful cultural village. Also, through the Sanbokdoro Renaissance Project and Happiness Village Making Project, community facilities were established, and the village community of Ami-dong residents is actively operating, continuing life here into the future.

켜켜이 쌓인 빛바랜 책들 사이에서 오래된 시간을 걷는 부산의 골목이다. 보수동책방골목은 6·25전쟁 당시 부산이 임시수도가 되었을 때 피난 온 부부가 박스를 깔고 헌책과 잡지를 팔던 노점에서 시작되었다. 전쟁 중 보수동 일대 야산에서 천막 수업을 이어가던 수많은 학생들이 이 골목을 통학로로 이용하면서 헌책방은 성황을 이루었고, 하나둘 피란민들이 가세하며 지금의 책방골목이 형성되었다. 국내에서 가장 오래된 헌책방 골목으로, 고서·소설·참고서·만화·아동서적·외국 원서까지 가게마다 전문 분야를 달리해 운영하고 있다. 책방골목 문화관과 어린이도서관도 함께 자리하며, 인근에는 국제시장·부평깡통시장이 있어 부산 원도심 여행 코스로 함께 즐기기 좋다. 매년 가을 보수동책방골목 문화축제도 열린다.
