Pocheon Hyanggyo was first established in 1173 during the late Goryeo period. It was rebuilt in 1594 after being destroyed during the Japanese invasions of Korea (Imjin War). Later, it was completely destroyed during the Korean War and was reconstructed in 1962 by the Confucian scholars of the region. The current buildings were renovated in 1984. The educational spaces, Myeongnyundang and the dormitories Dongjae and Seojae, are located in front, while Daeseongjeon, the space for ancestral rites, is at the rear. Rituals honoring Confucian sages including Confucius are held in spring and autumn, and incense is burned on the first and fifteenth days of each lunar month.

Cheongseong History Park is a themed park located at the foot of Cheongseongsan (283m) in Pocheon-si, Gyeonggi-do. It opened in September 1994 and covers an area of 121,000㎡. It can be found about 300m from Hannae Intersection toward Gapyeong-eup along the roadside. The park includes sports facilities such as badminton courts, basketball courts, and a futsal field, as well as a plaza, a children's playground, and an outdoor performance stage. In addition to sports facilities, there are various memorials, including a memorial tower honoring Korean War veterans, a Vietnam War veterans commemorative tower, a monument for national defense merit awardees, and a statue of Teacher Choi Ik-hyun. There is a walking trail toward the mountain, and a hyanggyo remains at the foot of Cheongseongsan. At the mountain summit is the site of Pocheon Banwolseong Fortress, built during the Three Kingdoms period. Pets are allowed (however, dogs must be leashed, and owners must carry plastic bags for pet waste).

Located in Gunnae-myeon, Pocheon-si, this mountain fortress spans 1,080 meters. Though traditionally believed to have been built by Gung Ye, founder of Later Goguryeo, investigations revealed it was constructed during the Goguryeo period. Various records refer to it as Goseong, Sanseong, or Banwol Sanseong. According to Daedongjiji, it was repaired in the 10th year of King Gwanghae's reign (1618) but had ceased use since the 1st year of King Injo's reign (1623). Other historical texts like Yeollyeosilgisul, Pocheon Gun-eupji, and Gyeonseongji mention stone construction and provide details about the fortress. Remaining features reflecting the old fortress include south and north gate sites, four attached square-shaped outer bulwarks, six building sites, a drainage outlet, a command post site called Jangdae, and a watchtower site. Located on Cheongseongsan, the guardian mountain of Pocheon-si, Banwolseong was considered sacred. Numerous rituals and shamanistic events were held here, with a ritual site known locally as Aegidang. The fortress was rebuilt during King Gwanghae's era to defend against the Later Jin but later lost its military function and likely served as Pocheon's administrative and religious center.
