Munballi Used Bookstore Alley Blue Box is a tranquil book cafe located in the used bookstore alley of Paju Publishing City, featuring a uniquely charming atmosphere and interior. Upon entering the cafe, the distinctive scent of old books blends with the aroma of coffee, creating a place imbued with Blue Box's unique character. Contrary to the simple modern concrete exterior, the interior space exudes a nostalgic old feel with unpretentious wooden decor. The cozy indoor space resembling a used bookstore alley is comfortable for reading. Visitors can purchase books in various fields such as social sciences, arts, and literature at affordable prices, and it is a good spot to sit by the window overlooking the reed-filled Saetgang River to read, relax, and enjoy coffee.
Odusan Unification Observatory opened on September 8, 1992, to soothe the sorrow of separated families and serve as an experiential center for unification education. At the summit of Odusan, where Goguryeo and Baekje vied for control, visitors can see the scenic confluence of the Han River flowing from the south and the Imjin River from the north as they merge and flow into the West Sea. From here, you can also see the mountains and rivers of Hwanghae Province in North Korea, as well as the lives of North Korean residents, which are visible but inaccessible. Inside the observatory, various exhibition halls use diverse techniques to easily convey the government's unification policy, the footprints of unification efforts by successive administrations, and the realities of North Korea. Since its opening, Odusan Unification Observatory has welcomed over 20 million visitors and has become an international hall of unification education, frequented by both Korean citizens and foreigners.
