The Asia Publishing Culture & Information Center is a large-scale complex cultural space with one basement floor and five above-ground floors. Its architecture, harmonizing with the surrounding natural environment, won the 14th Kim Swoo Geun Architecture Award in 2004. Located on the foot of Simhak Mountain extending to the Reed Stream, the building offers views of both the underwater and aboveground cities depending on the angle. The exterior, made of red steel plates, exposed concrete, and wood, showcases natural beauty through the seasons. The building appears to float over the Reed Stream, which is the origin of Paju Publishing City, quietly reflecting the eco-friendly book village philosophy. The center houses large-scale training and accommodation facilities as well as cultural spaces. The largest multipurpose hall and a 250-seat auditorium host international symposiums, large exhibitions, and events. The Wisdom Forest, created in 2014 by turning interior walls into bookshelves, preserves valuable books and provides an open reading culture space for everyone. Outdoor spaces like the event plaza, Asia Plaza, and Water Garden serve as beautiful outdoor performance and relaxation areas against the mountain and city backdrop. Additionally, the center includes cultural facilities such as a secondhand bookstore, exhibition hall, and book café, along with convenience facilities like a bank and restaurant, continuously expanding its cultural center functions. Beside the center stands a traditional Hanok house that contrasts somewhat with the main building. This building is an annex of the Kim Myung-gwan House relocated from Jeongeup, Jeollado, in June 2000. It serves as a spiritual symbol witnessing the birth and growth of Publishing City and acts as a coordinate axis reviving the original meaning of the place name 'Munbal' amid the reed fields. The design allows users to view the Hanok while moving through internal public spaces, aiming for harmony between the value of tradition and modern sensibility toward the future.

활판공방은 국내에서는 유일하게도 납 활자 인쇄 공정으로 책을 찍어내는 인쇄소 겸 출판사이다. 납으로 자모(字母)를 일일이 만드는 주조(鑄造)부터 시작해 약 60만 자가 빼곡히 들어찬 활자 선반에서 자모를 골라내는 채자(採字) 및 자모를 배열하는 식자(植字・조판)와 인쇄・접지・제본에 이르기까지 활판 인쇄의 전 과정이 한 공간에서 거의 모두 수작업으로 이뤄지고 있다.

미메시스 아트 뮤지엄은 대지 1,400평에 연면적 1,100평으로, 지상 3층(지하 1층)으로 이루어져 있는데, 다양한 크기의 여러 개의 전시 공간이 하나의 덩어리에 담긴 설계로 유명하다. 다양한 곡면으로 이루어진 백색의 전시 공간은 가급적 인조광을 배제하고 자연광을 끌어 들여 은은하고 차분한 분위기를 연출하며 시시때때로 변하는 빛의 향연을 볼 수 있는 것이 큰 특징이다. 미메시스 아트 뮤지엄은 개관 전부터 각종 해외 매체에 소개되었으며, 국내외 건축가들에게 큰 영향을 미치고 있다.

파주출판도시의 열화당 새 사옥에, 지난 시대에 만들어져 많은 사람들의 영혼을 살찌웠던 고서(古書), 그리고 우리 시대에 아름답게 만들어져 빛을 발하고 있는 동시대 세계 각국의 양서(良書) 사만여 권으로 책박물관을 생겨났다. 종이책의 위기가 이야기되는 이 시대에 그 자체로 역사가 된 뛰어난 책들, 그리고 동시대에 만들어진 각양각색의 특색 있는 책들을 통해, 지식과 정보를 얻고, 책 그 자체의 아름다움을 느끼는 것은 물론, 우리 출판이 걸어온 발자취를 되짚어 보고, 세계의 다양한 책을 통해 진정한 책의 문화를 느껴 볼 수 있는 곳이다.

Heyri Art Village spans 150,000 pyeong and is located within the Tongildongsan Tourism Special Zone. Dreaming of being the most beautiful village on earth, about 300 creators and artists from various fields who passed a qualification and review process live together as a community. Heyri is a unique community village that integrates cultural and artistic production, exhibition, sales, and residence. It houses numerous galleries, museums, exhibition halls, performance venues, small theaters, cafes, restaurants, bookstores, guesthouses, art shops, and studios for artists. The name Heyri derives from the call-and-response phrase 'E Hey E Heyri' found in the latter part of a local farming song from Geumsan-ri nearby. Domestically, Heyri was designated as the third cultural district in December 2009 following Insadong (2002) and Daehangno (2004). Architects designed buildings that do not use paint and do not exceed three floors above ground, harmonizing with nature. Thus, a trip to Heyri begins with appreciating its architecture. Buildings with no clear inside or outside, those built on slopes preserving the terrain, and irregularly shaped buildings stand uniquely. Heyri's paths are not straight but follow natural curves without asphalt paving. The best way to explore Heyri Village is to stroll along these roads. While walking, visitors can photograph interesting buildings and enter art galleries encountered to enjoy artworks. Sixty percent of all buildings in Heyri are open to the public as places for creation and cultural enjoyment. This rule benefits visitors the most. Even while guests explore the village, creative activities are underway. Heyri hosts various cultural and artistic events featuring famous domestic and international groups according to the seasons. Therefore, Heyri is known both as a place to visit with dear companions and as a village striving to advance culture and arts. Nearby, it is also nice to visit Odu Mountain Unification Observatory and Provence Village.
