The Unam complex, developed during the 2000s as part of a new town development, is surrounded by apartment residential complexes and an administrative town. Located nearby, Unamtteul Korean Food Street is the only food district in Osan-si, lined with various local specialty restaurants offering dishes such as seafood soup, ribs, and rice. It features a very diverse menu, making it suitable for family dining, group gatherings, or company dinners.

Osan Bird Park, located at Osan City Hall, is the second bird park in Korea after Gyeongju and the first in the Seoul metropolitan area, featuring a human-friendly zoo and botanical garden as an ecological experience education center. At the suggestion of Osan City, which promotes itself as a UNESCO Child-Friendly City and Education City, the Gyeongju Bird Park, Korea's first specialized bird zoo, upgraded its expertise and expanded four additional floors on the 2nd-floor rooftop of the City Hall civil service office, opening in 2021. The four-story facility includes a theme hall for environmental protection practices coexisting with nature, a science principles theme hall for learning through play with nature, and a theme hall on the secrets of life’s birth and evolution. It is equipped with bird flight areas, an aquarium, a botanical garden, resting spaces, a 4th-floor photo zone, and an observatory. As the largest indoor zoo in Korea, it houses about 1,200 species of animals and plants, maintaining different temperatures by floor to match animal habitats. It is approximately a 10-minute drive from Osan Station on Line 1 and about 5 minutes from Osan IC, with buses available from nearby subway stations, making access by public transport convenient. Nearby are Gyeonggi-do National Safety Experience Center, Osan Miniature Village, Mulhyanggi Arboretum, Osan Doksanseong and Sema Daechi, and Smith Peace Hall.

Osan City Hall Water Playground, a summer landmark in Osan, opened on July 8, 2023. It features eight refreshing play facilities, including a composite play set, water drop, and water shower, making it great for children to play. Nearby, Jukmi Sports Park offers a water playground for adults, allowing people of all ages to enjoy water activities. Along with Malgeumteo Park and Jukmi Sports Park, it is one of Osan's three main representative water playgrounds.
