Located at Jinduhang Dock, Yeongheungdo Fisheries Cooperative Seafood Direct Sales Center is a great place to enjoy fresh seafood and sea breeze near the metropolitan area. On weekends and holidays, the parking lot is filled with cars, showing its popularity. Inside the large seafood direct sales center, seafood sections line both sides with floor seating tables in the middle, allowing visitors to enjoy sashimi, shabu-shabu, grilled fish, and spicy seafood stews on site. The tanks are full of seasonal domestic seafood such as clams, oysters, sea snails, octopus from Yeongheungdo mudflats, flatfish, blue crabs, shrimp, sea eels, fish traps, and webfoot octopus. Visitors can browse around, purchase seafood from their favorite section, and either eat sashimi at the seating tables or take it home. Webfoot octopus is best for shabu-shabu, flatfish and rockfish for sashimi and spicy seafood stew with side dishes, and eel grilled; taking food to-go is more affordable. Sets of seafood for barbecue are also sold for tourists staying at nearby pensions, making it convenient to enjoy a variety of flavors.
