Opened in 1995 as Sinheung Market, it was renamed Jeomchon Traditional Market in 2017. Along with Jungang Market, Jeomchon Traditional Market is a representative market in the Jeomchon area, located near the city bus terminal, making it a transportation hub. A five-day market is held on days ending in 3 and 8 each month. On market days, around 200 stores and 200 street vendors gather, offering a humble rural market atmosphere. Various wild mountain vegetables collected from Baekdudaegan, as well as local specialties such as Mungyeong apples, Mungyeong omija, yakdol Korean beef, and yakdol pork are sold.
