Located in Seosan-dong, Mokpo, Yeonhee's Supermarket is a small neighborhood store of about 18㎡ that preserves the look of the 1980s. This place was a filming location for the movie , which depicts the June Democratic Uprising of 1987, and it was the house where Yeonhee, a college freshman, lived with her mother and maternal uncle. Searching for a place that retains the appearance of the 1980s, this site nestled in a narrow alley in Seosan-dong, Mokpo, was chosen as a main filming location. Inside Yeonhee's Supermarket, the interior has been faithfully recreated to match the movie 1987 scenes, allowing visitors to recall moments from the film. Additionally, snacks and daily necessities sold in the 1980s such as sugar candy, twisted doughnuts, gum, briquettes, and a newspaper issued in 1987 are displayed.

Mokpo Coastal Passenger Terminal is a passenger terminal located in Hang-dong, Mokpo-si. It serves to connect the southwestern island areas of Jeollanam-do and the Dadohaehaesang National Park. The terminal can accommodate 1,738 people in the waiting room and hosts seven ferry operators including Namhae Express, Joyang Transport, and Shinjin Shipping. Inside, it is well equipped with convenience facilities such as ticket counters, an information desk, a store, a snack corner, an unmanned civil service issuance machine, a nursing room, rest areas, and restrooms. Additionally, on the second floor, there is the Mokpo Sinan Tourism Promotion Center, which visitors can briefly explore, and on the fourth floor, there is a comprehensive cultural arts gallery and an outdoor garden, providing spaces to relax.
Samhakdo is a peninsula located in Mokpo City. There is a legend that long ago, three women who loved a young man from Yudalsan Mountain died while waiting for him and were reincarnated as three cranes. A warrior, unaware of this, shot arrows at the three cranes, hitting them and causing them to fall into the sea in front of Yudalsan Mountain and die, and three peaks rose in their place. Originally, Samhakdo was an island that supplied firewood to Mokpojin, but due to land reclamation in the sea in front of Mokpo, it became land. However, the landscape was damaged by reclamation and the construction of factories and a port. It was once a famous scenic site representing Mokpo alongside Yudalsan Mountain, but now its former appearance can no longer be seen. Currently, there is a Children's Sea Science Museum, Kim Dae-jung Nobel Peace Prize Memorial Hall, a mini golf course, and a yacht marina where visitors can enjoy sightseeing and sports. There are also walking paths along the park and charming night views to enjoy.
Sihwa Village in Seosan-dong is a place that conjures up feelings of nostalgia for the bygone days, home to a beautiful view of the harbor, the sea, and the villages atop Borimadang. Popular tourist sites include the Sihwa Alley, decorated with residents’ writings and pictures, and Yeonhee’s Supermarket, the filming location of “1987: When the Day Comes (2017).” Yeonhee’s Supermarket, in particular, offers photo spots and experiences that recreate scenes from the film.
