목포 유달산목재문화체험장은 유달산에 위치하고 있으며 목재에 대한 종합적인 지식과 정보, 다양한 체험을 제공하는 시설로 유아, 청소년, 일반인 등 대상별 수준과 능력을 고려하여 프로그램을 개발하고 실생활에 유용한 목제품 제작을 지원하고 있다. 친환경 소재와 목재 장난감으로 유아 놀이터를 꾸몄으며, 초급 DIY 목공교육과정 및 목공예 기능인 양성 교육을 진행한다. 목재 문화전시실에서는 목재에 대한 정보와 생활 목공예품 전시공간으로 목재에 대한 지식을 배울 수 있으며 유달산에서 버려지는 나무를 말려서 목재체험 재료로 재활용하고 있다.
