Yi Sun-sin Victory Park | Attraction Guide | K-Travel Mate

The narrow strait between Jindo-gun and Haenam-gun under the Jindo Bridge is called 'Uldolmok.' It is named 'Uldolmok' because the fast currents hit the rocks and pass through the narrow strait, creating a crying sound. The rapid waterway of Uldolmok was also the driving force that made General Yi Sun-sin's great victory at the Battle of Myeongnyang possible. On the Jindo-gun side of the Uldolmok strait under Jindo Bridge, there is Yi Sun-sin Victory Park. Inside the park, you can see a majestic statue of General Yi Sun-sin and the skywalk surrounding the statue. Walking on the skywalk allows visitors to feel the dignity of General Yi Sun-sin. Additionally, a wooden deck trail has been created beside the park, making it a nice place for a walk.
