Jindo Jogeum Market has long been the central market leading the local commercial area, with abundant street stalls appearing on market days (2nd and 7th) that are rarely seen in the regular Jindo Jogeum Market. The neighborhood Jogeum-ri was named because when the tide is lowest at the nearby crosswalk, it can be crossed without taking a boat, and this is also the origin of the market's name. The largest section is the fish stall, opened in the main square, with vendors selling fresh fish and dried seafood. At Jindojang, scallions, stone seaweed, garlic, chili peppers, rock laver, and black medicinal rice are predominant. Due to the geographical characteristics, various seafood, including sole, are traded here. Visitors can experience the atmosphere of the traditional market with abundant fresh produce grown directly in local gardens. It is a traditional market that once led the local economy and fully reflects the unique characteristics of the Jindo-gun area.
