Unilam and Banilam are approximately 5km-long valleys located upstream of Jujacheon in Jucheon-myeon, Jinan-gun. They lie between Myeongdeokbong and Myeongdobong on the northeast side of Unjangsan. This area features a scenic harmony of rugged rocky cliffs and clear jade-like water, creating a magnificent natural landscape where visitors can feel the mystery of nature. 'Unilam' means a deep and steep gorge where only the sky, rocks, trees, and clouds come together, and 'Banilam' is named for the valley where sunlight shines only for half a day. Giant rocks such as Yongsobawi, Jjokduribawi, and Daebulbawi line the valley, with cool spring water flowing through waterfalls and pools. This area is a renowned scenic spot that showcases the pinnacle of natural harmony and attracts many tourists.
Yongdam Dam is a massive reservoir created by flooding 1 eup and 5 myeon of Jinan-gun. This dam is a watershed transfer-type dam that supplies 1.35 million tons of water daily via a water tunnel from the upper Geum River basin to Sohyang-ri, Gosan-myeon, Wanju-gun, at the upper Mangyeong River, aiming to solve the domestic water supply for the Jeonju area of Jeollabuk-do. Since the dam's construction and the start of water storage, Yongdam Lake has become an indispensable tourist attraction in Jinan-gun. The dam is particularly beloved as a tourist spot because a bridge connects the dam's circumference road. The road linking Jeongcheon-myeon, Yongdam-myeon, and the dam offers a scenic drive that harmonizes with the lake's landscape and is considered a fantastic route, with the course from Sangjeon-myeon and Ancheon-myeon to the dam being equally attractive. Since the dam is relatively new, there are few structures along the shore, contributing to the natural scenery, which is another charm. Several Mangsang Hills have been built around Yongdam Lake, created by the Korea Water Resources Corporation to soothe the nostalgia of displaced residents due to flooding, typically located on high, scenic hills. Among these, Yongdam Mangsang Hill at the north end of Yongdam Bridge offers the best view, situated near the lake's center with water visible to the east and west. The wooden pavilion Ta-go-jeong (太古亭), originally built in 1752 and relocated here in 1998, stands as a skillfully constructed wooden building from the village. The Yongdam Dam park has a water promotion center that explains various relationships between water and people, which is worth visiting if you have young children. Around Yongdam Lake, there are also the nationally recognized scenic spots of Maisan and the breathtaking valleys of Unilam and Banilam.

Unjangsan, with an elevation of 1,126m, spans Jeongcheon-myeon, Jucheon-myeon, Bugui-myeon in Jinan-gun and Dongsang-myeon in Wanju-gun. It is the highest peak connected to various summits of Honam Noryeong. In particular, Gubongsan at 1,002m consists of nine notable rock peaks, and since the installation of a 100m-long cloud bridge, it has become popular as a one-day hiking course. The approximately 7km-long Galgeo Valley within the recreation forest has clear water flowing year-round, and scenic spots like Jebang Rock, Madang Rock, Hakuiso, and Jeongmil Waterfall attract families and groups for relaxation. The total area of Unjangsan Natural Recreation Forest is 19.58㎢, with a daily maximum capacity of 300 to 600 people. Facilities include lodging, a forest training center, walking trails, a foot volleyball court, and parking. Lodgings comprise 25 rooms ranging from 4-person to 8-9 person rooms, plus 20 camping decks for campers. There is also a forest road for mountain biking.
