This is the house of Yeon Chaewoo (延采羽)〈延彩羽〉, the father of the independence patriot Yeonbyeongho (1894–1963), where Yeonbyeongho was born, raised, lived in his later years, and passed away. Yeonbyeongho was born in Seokgok-ri, Doan-myeon, Goesan-gun in 1894. In 1919, he went into exile in China and worked as a staff officer and secretary of the Bukro Military Government Office in Jilin Province to regain national sovereignty. He supported the activities of the Shanghai Provisional Government in 1919 and was arrested and imprisoned for secret activities in the Youth Diplomatic Corps. Later, he escaped again and organized the Independence Revolutionary Party. In 1937, while active in the Provisional Government, he was arrested by Japanese authorities and sentenced to eight years in prison. In 1945, he was elected as a member of the Constituent National Assembly and re-elected in 1948. The original thatched roof house was preserved through restoration work, with surrounding fences and a newly built shrine nearby. The original earthenware jar site behind the house and the old restroom beside it are known by elder testimonies. There is a monument honoring the patriot in the yard. The original mortar stone mill relic remains. The house is a south-facing three-bay by three-bay mud-walled thatched house with a single enclosed layout. It retains the typical form and appearance of a 19th-century common folk house almost unchanged, including the original front and rear spaces and the positions of fences and gates matching witness accounts. It is well preserved in the original Hanok style, showcasing rural folk architecture of the 19th century.

Gwangdeoksa Temple was founded in 1949 by the Bodhisattva Imyo-yeon, who dreamed of a stone Buddha and built a three-room hermitage next to the stone Buddha, naming it Gwangdeoksa after the village. Although the temple's history is not very old, the standing stone Buddha was made during the Goryeo period and has remained at this site. It has withstood wind and rain for over a thousand years in one place. This statue is the Gwangdeoksa stone Buddha standing statue, currently designated as a tangible cultural asset of Chungcheongbuk-do. It is a gigantic statue with a total height of 4.8 meters and a Buddha height of 4 meters. The long face has half-open eyes looking straight ahead, three neck folds called samdo (三道), and long ears. It is an early Goryeo period work that exudes both dignity and compassion.
