Located on Jwagusan (657m), the highest peak in the areas of Cheongju, Jeungpyeong, and Cheongwon as well as the Hannam Geumbuk Ridge (from Sogrisan Cheonwangbong to Anseong Chiljeongsan), Jeungpyeong Jwagusan Observatory experiences minimal light pollution from surrounding lights, allowing for viewing about 1,500 faint stars of magnitude 5 at night. It features the largest 356mm refracting telescope in Korea, enabling direct observation of vivid celestial objects. Additionally, through the celestial projection room, visitors can enjoy various astronomical and space contents regardless of weather, and the Spacelab exhibition hall offers diverse interactive exhibitions.
