Jeju Island's beauty can be said to be 'from the sky to the sea.' This course is especially good for experiencing Jeju's pristine natural forests and clean environment. It will be a great opportunity to visit a forest where the ecology of Hallasan is preserved as it is, the Deer Park, and a museum unique to Jeju.

Halla Ecological Forest was leased to a private individual from the early 1970s until 1995 and used as a grazing area for livestock. It has been ecologically restored by harmoniously designing and planting various plant communities, including subtropical, temperate, and alpine plants, fitting for the treasure trove of Jeju flora. The Gotjawal area and natural forest zones are managed as genetic resource conservation areas. Furthermore, Halla Ecological Forest functions as a research forest, conducting genetic conservation studies on subtropical and temperate species of Jeju and rare alpine species of Hallasan, as well as serving as a plant propagation and cold-resistance adaptation test forest to restore damaged areas of Hallasan. This forest restores a once damaged and abandoned wild grassland back to its original forest state, allowing visitors to enjoy forest trekking and the diverse natural ecosystem. Animals inhabiting Hallasan can be seen here, and especially plants ranging from subtropical species to alpine plants of Hallasan. Facilities include ecological trails, an observatory, a nursery house, themed walking paths, a genetic conservation tissue culture room, and 13 themed forests such as maple forest, cherry blossom forest, Abies koreana forest, and Rhododendron forest. A rock garden, a miniature version of the entire ecological forest, is centrally created, showcasing the forest’s true characteristics.
Jeju Deer Ecology Observation Center opened on August 3, 2007. It is located on a 52-hectare area where various flora and fauna are naturally preserved. The site features a forest trail observation path where visitors can observe deer freely roaming on the oreum, and a permanent observation area where visitors can touch and feed the deer up close. The exhibition hall offers information about Jeju's diverse plants and animals and the vegetation distribution of Hallasan in the Animal Story Hall. The Deer Ecology Hall provides knowledge about deer characteristics and historical records featuring deer. The Deer Story Video Hall presents videos about deer ecology and lifestyle. Based on its pristine natural environment, this center allows visitors to directly observe Jeju’s symbol, the deer, relax, and learn more about them. The forest trail along the rugged mid-slope of the oreum serves as an easy trekking course taking about 40 minutes for the entire family, offering open views and a resting space within nature. The center also offers hands-on experiences such as deer feeding and making deer crafts using wood.
