Passing through Jungseonam and Sangseonam and enchanted by the scenery of Seonamgyegok Valley, you arrive at Banggok-ri. Surrounded by mountains, the peaceful Banggok-ri has been famous for pottery production for over 600 years. At Banggok Dokkaebi Village, the traditional wood-fired kiln method using pine firewood continues. Many potters run workshops and kilns, and the pottery village operates a pottery exhibition hall, pottery sales center, and pottery academy year-round. The highlight experience is pottery making. Depending on the program, you can try throwing pottery on the wheel with a master potter or paint your own design on well-fired ceramic bowls. Your unique pottery is fired in the kiln and delivered to your home after a month. The village's pride includes the surrounding omija berry fields. You can harvest omija berries and make unique treats like omija pie and omija popcorn, and make and share omija rice cakes. Additionally, you can enjoy cooking classes using seasonal ingredients, traditional play experiences, and natural dyeing experiences.
