Chungcheong-do is also called Hoseo region, meaning 'west of the lake,' where the lake refers to Uirimji. Uirimji is a very old and famous reservoir. As a Chungcheongbuk-do monument, Uirimji was built in the Samhan period and was originally called Imji. It is said that during King Jinheung of Silla’s reign, the musician Ureuk blocked a stream and built a dam, and about 700 years later, local governor Park Uirim rebuilt it more firmly. The reservoir has a lakeside circumference of 1.8 km, a full surface area of 151,470㎡, a storage volume of 6,611,891㎡, and a depth of 8-13m, irrigating 289.4 jeongbo of farmland. Along with Byeokgolje of Gimje and Susanje of Miryang, it is one of the Samhan period water management facilities, with its sluice gate built of earthenware, providing valuable data for studying ancient agricultural technology. Currently, it is a scenic spot in Jecheon, where Yeonghojeong, built in the 7th year of Sunjo (1807), Gyeongholu Pavilion, built in 1948, centuries-old pine and weeping willow trees, and a 30m natural waterfall enhance the landscape.

Geumwolbong in Jecheon was used as a clay quarry for cement production by Asia Cement Yeongwol Plant in 1993. While extracting clay, a group of strange rock formations underground was discovered, which resembled the Manmulsang of Geumgangsan Mountain so closely that it was called 'small Geumgangsan.' Later, Jecheon city held a naming contest and named it Geumwolbong. Geumwolbong is a small rocky mountain where artificial elements have been added to create various forms, harmonizing human craft and nature. Although the rocks have been artificially processed, their bizarre shapes and vigorous appearance create a magnificent sight.

청풍문화재단지에는 향교, 관아, 민가, 석물군 등 43점의 문화재를 옮겨 놓았는데 민가 4채 안에는 생활 유품 1,600여 점이 전시되어 있다. 고려 때 관아의 연회 장소로 건축된 청풍 한벽루(보물 528)와 청풍 석조여래입상(보물 546) 등 보물 2점과 청풍부를 드나들던 관문인 팔영루(충북유형문화재 35), 조선시대 청풍부 아문인 금남루(충북유형문화재 20), 응청각(충북유형문화재 90), 청풍향교(충북유형문화재 64) 등 건축물 및 옛 도호부 시대의 부사나 군수의 송덕비, 선정비, 열녀문, 공덕비 등이 세워져 있다.

제천 청풍면에 있는 전시시설이다. 충주댐 건설배경과 그로 인한 수몰지역의 역사 자료를 보존하고 당시의 주민들 생활상을 담은 다양한 자료를 전시하고 있다. 충주댐 건설로 인하여 충주, 제천, 단양의 11개면 101개 리,동, 7,105가구 38,663명의 인구가 삶의 터전을 잃었다. 총수몰면적 약 50%가 제천지역을 차지한다. 댐이 생기면서 고향을 떠나기 전, 강가에 나와서 안타까운 마을잔치를 벌이는 한수면 주민들의 모습, 청풍면 읍리의 유일한 의료지원시설인 근춘약방, 수동 펌프 등 옛 추억과 향수가 묻어나는 다양한 사진들을 볼 수 있다. 옛 청풍면의 삶을 담고 있는 사진 속에서 어쩔 수없이 고향을 떠나야했던 사람들의 애환이 잘 묻어난다.
