Okjeong Garden is a charcoal-grilled chicken specialty restaurant located in Hwangryong-myeon, Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do. It is situated deep in the mountains, offering fresh air and beautiful scenery. The signature menu is the premium charcoal-grilled dakgalbi set, which includes pre-grilled dakgalbi, mushrooms, shrimp, baby octopus, and scallops. Chicken porridge and knife-cut noodles are also included in the basic set. You can enjoy both the sweet soy sauce dakgalbi and the spicy seasoned dakgalbi at once. It is an ideal setting for birthdays, gatherings, and anniversaries for groups. Both outdoor and indoor tables are available to suit your preference, and the chicken is tender, making it easy for children and seniors to enjoy without worry. The grilling over charcoal naturally imparts a smoky flavor to the meat. Nearby attractions include Hong Gil-dong Theme Park, Pilam Seowon Confucian Academy, and Yowol Garden Forest, offering plenty to see after your meal.
Pilaram Seowon is a seowon dedicated to Kim Inhu, a mid-Joseon scholar renowned for his excellence in Confucianism, loyalty, and literary skills. It is a historic seowon that survived Heungseon Daewongun's decree to abolish seowons. Pilaram Seowon was constructed following the seowon's functions of education and ritual, faithfully adopting the 'Jeonhak-humyo' layout—placing the study hall in front and the shrine behind. It holds many important records and materials related to seowon management and scholar education during the Joseon era, including woodblocks and documents designated as treasures and cultural heritage. In July 2019, along with nine other seowons nationwide, it was inscribed on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage list under the name 'Korean Seowon.'

In Ssangung-ri, Bukha-myeon, Jangseong-gun, part of the Hwangryonggang watershed, Jangseongho Lake was created by damming the upper stream of Hwangryonggang flowing along Baegamsan Valley as part of the Yeongsan River basin development project, and tourism sites have been developed nearby. Baekyangsa Temple is a temple located within Naejangsan National Park, said to have been founded during the Baekje King Mu’s reign (632). With a massive rock as its backdrop and clear, cool valley waters flowing on either side, the scenery is very beautiful. It offers changing beautiful views throughout the year, including autumn foliage. The Daeungjeon Hall, Geungnakbojeon Hall, and Sacheonwangmun Gate are designated cultural heritage of Jeollanam-do, and the Soyodaesa Buddha stele is a designated treasure. Passing through the forest path lined with oak and maple trees, you first see Ssanggyeru Pavilion at the entrance. In front is a pond formed by damming the valley, and behind it are rocky cliffs standing like a folding screen, creating a picturesque reflection of Ssanggyeru on the pond. Beyond Ssanggyeru are the Daeungjeon Hall, Geungnakbojeon Hall, and pagoda. Originally named Baegamsa at its founding, it was renamed Jeongtosa during Goryeo. During the Joseon Seonjo period, it became known as Baekyangsa because whenever priest Hwanyangjo read Buddhist scriptures, a white sheep listened. Known as a prominent Seon (Zen) center, it produced many great monks who led Buddhism, including five recent revered monks such as Hwan-eung, the 2nd Supreme Patriarch during Japanese rule, and Manam, the first Supreme Patriarch of the Jogye Order, as well as Mukdam, the first Supreme Patriarch of the Taego Order. Many hermitages lie along the hiking trail, with excellent views at Yaksaam, Unmunam, and Cheonjinam. Yaksaam, about 20 minutes from the temple entrance, serves as an observatory offering a panoramic view of Baekyangsa surrounded by mountains. Opposite the scenic spot, 5,000 matme trees, evergreen subtropical trees, form a natural monument. The 0.5km section from the parking lot up to the temple is lush with towering centuries-old oak trees, about 3,000 gorosoe trees, and matme trees, making it perfect for forest bathing.
