The history of Incheon Comprehensive Fish Market dates back to the opening period of Incheon. It is known that the fish market naturally emerged in the late 1880s as Japanese residents living in Incheon consumed a large amount of fish. After Incheon opened its port, the market gradually developed, and in 1975, urban development projects filling the Yeonanbudu area led to the creation of today's Incheon Comprehensive Fish Market. This place is truly a seafood paradise, offering fresh fish and seafood caught directly from the nearby Yeonan shore, as well as seafood delivered the same day from across the country. Most fish species caught on the West Sea coast can be found here. Because prices are much lower than in the general market, visitors seeking fresh seafood all year round frequently come here.
