정조효공원 일원에서 펼쳐지는 정조효문화제는 역사적 가치와 가족 친화적인 요소를 함께 담은 화성특례시의 대표 역사문화축제이다. 다양한 공연과 전통 체험 프로그램을 즐길 수 있으며, 특히 정조대왕이 아버지 사도세자의 묘를 조선 최고 길지로 이름난 화성시 융릉으로 이전하는 대서사시를 재현한 현륭원 천원은 정조대왕의 지극한 효심을 상징적으로 보여주는 대표 프로그램이다. 또한 10월 4일에는 1795 을묘원행을 재현하는 정조대왕 능행차가 동탄 센트럴파크에서 출발해 장대한 행렬을 펼치며 전통과 현대가 어우러진 다채로운 볼거리를 선사한다. 천하의 명당, 효의 도시 "화성특례시"에서 펼쳐지는 본 축제는 역사와 문화, 그리고 가족이 함께하는 특별한 시간을 제공할 것이다.
