Sanae Sports Park is a sports facility located in Sachang-ri, Hwacheon-gun, completed in 2004. It features an artificial turf field, a futsal field, and an athletics track with a urethane surface. The park is well-equipped for local residents' physical training with facilities for pole vaulting, Ssireum (Korean wrestling), and a multipurpose sports ground. Additionally, it includes a waterfront walking trail, foot acupressure path, a small stream, and a permanent stage for performances, offering diverse facilities and a natural environment. Sanae Sports Park supports the sports and leisure activities of Sanae residents, and is frequently used for national competitions like the National Sports Festival, military unit events, and local festivals. With a main stand and landscaping facilities, it is well-suited for hosting events, including local sports competitions and the Hwacheon Tomato Festival. Parking is available at the Sachang-ri public parking lot or the Sanae Sports Park parking lot.

Changan Mountain is 541.8 meters high and located near the urban area, making it a popular destination for hikers and residents along with Duryu Mountain. It has facilities such as a comprehensive information board, direction signs, and tree nameplates, enabling easy climbing. Eight types of fitness facilities, including full-body rowing, sky walking, and marathon exercises, provide residents with pleasant and safe forest recreation services. The forest bathing area features an octagonal observatory and chairs for forest bathing, allowing visitors to relax and relieve stress from daily fatigue. Starting from Daeseongsa Temple, you can lightly hike to the Changan Mountain summit and also challenge the course continuing to the 993-meter-high Duryu Mountain summit.

Hwacheon is a representative tomato producing area in Korea, and every July a tomato festival is held around Hwaksan Mountain. Tomato Sculpture Park was created to commemorate this festival and promote the excellence of Hwacheon tomatoes. The park features 16 tomato sculptures created by famous sculptors. In addition, there are tomato-shaped sculptures, benches, and photo zones. It is a good place to stop by for rest and commemorative photos while traveling in Hwacheon.
